Ophiomorpha

This Ophiomorpha is found in fine-grained sandstones within delta front facies of a river-influenced delta lobe.  Note the vertical 'Y' branching close to the paleo-sediment/water interfaces.  The branching records re-establishment of the dwelling (Domichnia) entrance.
